Oh F*&k! I Need an Engagement ring?

Pay attention to the design and maker of the ring, if you don't she will be left with a sweet story and a bad feeling every time she looks at the clunker you gave her.

Oh F*&k! I Need an Engagement ring?

Congratulations! You have one of the most exciting problems ever.

Engagement Rings made simple: Solitaire, Halo, and Three Stone Styles

Buckle up, here it comes hard and fast.

Let's Call them Charlie's Angels. The big three are the solitaire, the halo and the three stone ring.

Natalie (The Solitaire)  Yes I am using the names from the 2000 film, that's my memory of the angels jumping out of planes in fatsuits and I'm sure you remember.

Athena Solitaire with matching band

The Solitaire engagement ring is the classic and timeless design that features a single diamond or gemstone set on a simple band. This style emphasizes the beauty and brilliance of the center stone (probably a diamond but it could be a color stone if you are like the royalty) making the stone the centerpiece of the ring.

Solitaire engagement rings are available in a variety of shapes and cuts, including round, princess, emerald, and cushion. They are perfect for those who prefer a minimalist and elegant design that will never go out of style.

Take care: How the ring is made and the design play a huge role in the look and feel, if you overlook these details you could be stuck with a fancy and expensive rock holder.

Dylan (Halo ring) You may not agree with matching Dylan with the frilly Halo but hear me out.

Pink sapphire ring with natural yellow diamond Halo.

The halo is just more complicated. There is more engineering that goes into the ring. The stone setter has 20 to 50 more chances to mess something up. BUT like a high maintenance woman, when she is ready she will shine.

Halo engagement rings feature a center diamond or gemstone that is surrounded by a "halo" of smaller diamonds or gemstones. This style creates a stunning and sparkling effect, making the center stone appear larger and more brilliant.

Once again you can vary this style in so many ways. It is important to ensure that the structure of the ring is good so that you will not have it falling apart on you within the first year.

If the price is too good to be true. IT IS! You will pay for it later in repairs.

Alex (the three stone) I think the character association needs no explanation but if you want to argue with me I am very happy to debate this till the end of time. Write or message me, seriously.

Elegance and sophistication. My personal favorite.

Three stone engagement rings feature three diamonds or gemstones that are set in a row on the band. The center stone is usually larger than the two side stones, creating a beautiful and balanced design. Three stone engagement rings are often chosen for their symbolic meaning, with each stone representing the past, present, and future of a couple's relationship.

I'm starting to sound like a broken record. Pay attention to the design and maker of the ring, if you don't she will be left with a sweet story and a bad feeling every time she looks at the clunker you gave her.

For those who like their info quick and easy like I do:

Cons: Complicated, expensive to do it right, more maintenance long term

Three stone

Pros: Big and elegant, sophisticated, represents the past present and future,

Cons: More expensive, Better with quality diamonds, poor design can ruin this one

Get advice from people you can trust. I don't need to be the one you ask about getting the right ring but make sure you get someone good to help you. Jewelry has complexities to it that few people really understand. Find a guide for this one.
